ABOUT THE ARTIST

Mary Made is a multi-talented artist that focuses on expressing emotions to people through her artwork. Vibrant, colourful, and full of texture describe best her paintings. Mary’s work, which combines realism and abstraction, fascinates her audience with uniquely her style. Some of her paintings are vivid journeys to other dimensions that invite us to consider the influences of powers greater than our own. Since 2012, Mary has been regularly participating in exhibitions. She currently lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.

Her artistic practice embraces a range of materials and techniques chosen to express herself, such as oil, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, glazing, gilding and mixed media.  She studied at several academies, honing her artistic skills through teachings from prominent artists such as Reine-Marie Pinchon, Ewa Karpinska, Roland Palmaerts, Alvaro Castagnet, Bei-An Cao, Viktoria Prischedko, Odette Feller, Corinne Izquierdo, Ming Xin Wen, Fernand Thienpondt, Aslani Kourosh, Catherine Sommelette, Slawa Prischedko, Ekaterina Sava, Pierre Sentjens, Frank Rollier, Victoria Calleja and Madeleine Lejeune to name a few.
